Where are screenshots saved?
Most phones save screenshots to Pictures/Screenshots (or DCIM/Screenshots) on internal storage. The easiest way to find them: open Google Photos and go to Collections > On this device > Screenshots, or open your phone's Gallery app and look for the Screenshots album.
Record your Android screen
- Swipe down twice from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings.
- Tap Screen record (you may need to swipe sideways to find it; if it's missing, tap the pencil icon to add it).
- Choose whether to record audio and show taps, then tap Start. To stop, swipe down and tap the recording notification.
Screenshot not working?
The volume changes or the screen locks instead
Press both buttons at exactly the same time and hold a moment. Pressing one slightly early triggers only that button.
"Can't take screenshot due to security policy"
The app (often banking, streaming, or a work profile app) blocks screenshots on purpose. Incognito tabs in Chrome block them too. This can't be overridden.
There's no Capture more button
The screen you're on doesn't scroll, or the app doesn't support scrolling screenshots. Try it in Chrome or the Settings app to check it works on your phone.
Buttons are broken
Use the Recent apps screen, a voice command, or your brand's gesture (see below).
