How to take a screenshot on Motorola

Motorola phones run close-to-stock Android, so the standard Android methods all work. Motorola adds one extra: a three-finger screenshot where you simply touch and hold the screen with three fingers.

Quick answer

Volume downPower

Press Power and Volume down together, or touch and hold the screen with three fingers once the gesture is on.

Screenshot not working?

Three-finger screenshot isn't in Settings

Look in the Moto app under Moto Actions or Gestures. Not every model has it.

The buttons only change the volume or lock the screen

Press Power and Volume down at exactly the same moment and hold briefly. If a button is worn, use a gesture or the Quick Settings tile instead.

"Can't take screenshot" or a black image

Banking, streaming and some work apps block screenshots on purpose, as do incognito browser tabs. This can't be turned off.
